My personal touch: Each pendant is sculpted over many days, so I really get to know the material from raw state to softly sculpted form. In the later stages, I wear the pendant myself for several days so that I can observe how it hangs, how it feels – and whether adjustments need to be made. I only offer it for sale when I know that it is soothing to touch and comforting to hold.
My ethos as a carver of bone: I often retain raw elements of the natural bone, a tactile secret on the reverse of the pendant – respecting the nature and history of the piece.
Tool marks are often visible, showing the care and attention that has formed each piece.
