STONE CARVING WORKSHOPS
Dates for courses in 2010 now available for booking
A 3 day workshop in stone carving.
A three-day residential workshop suitable for beginners and people keen to extend their existing skills. During the course students will:
- Learn safe working procedures.
- Develop confident carving and design skills.
- Express their ideas in three-dimensions, producing a piece of work to take home.
- Be given guidance on where to find materials and tools.
- Be advised on how they can further develop their skills after the course.
Group sizes will be limited to 8 so the course can be adapted according to the needs of each student, and plenty of personal tutoring can be given. We are now taking booking for courses in 2010.
Courses will run at Bawdsey Manor on the Suffolk coast. Full board will be provided at the manor house for 3 nights, including the evening prior to the course. Two master bedrooms have recently been refurbished with en-suite facilities. These are available for a surcharge of £25 per night - early booking is advised for these rooms.
Bawdsey Manor provides a wonderful setting for the Stone Carving Workshops. Students are free to explore the house and its grounds, and the beach is a five minute stroll away.

* Students are asked to gather at 4.45pm on the Thursday afternoon for a cup of tea and a guided tour of the Manor before supper.

Booking
A £100 booking fee (per person taking the workshop) is required to reserve your place. Payment of the remaining balance is required one month prior to the course. We are now accepting bookings for courses in 2010.

Terms and Conditions
Lucy Churchill's Stone Carving Workshops are fully covered by Public Liability Insurance. This does not include personal medical insurance for participants, or cover students being unable to attend courses they have booked.
Cancellation
If the course that you have chosen is undersubscribed three weeks prior to the start date, we will offer you a place on alternative dates. If no alternative is possible or suitable, we will refund the booking deposit in full. Full payments will also be reimbursed if we have to cancel the course due to circumstances beyond our control. Booking deposits will not be returned if you cancel within 4 weeks of the course start date.
